Free 45-minute online workshop · For households with $500,000 or more to protect
Spend 45 minutes with Matt Eller and learn how families with $500,000 or more protect their life savings from the cost of long-term care, and the ins and outs of Medicaid and asset protection that most people only learn in a hospital hallway, after it is too late to plan.
One live online session. Free to attend, with live Q&A at the end.
Built for households with roughly $500,000 or more in savings, investments, or home equity to protect.
Free to attend. No products are discussed until you understand the risk. Seats on the live Zoom are limited by the platform; the replay is sent only to registrants who attend live or let us know they could not make it.
What you will walk away with
No product pitch until you understand the risk. Every number on screen is sourced, and every quote shown is a real illustration run on a real case.
What long-term care actually is (it is not medical care), how a claim is legally triggered, what it costs in your market today, and what that same month of care will cost in the year you are most likely to need it.
Why Medicare pays very little, health insurance pays nothing, and Medicaid pays only after you are poor. How the five-year lookback works, what "spend down" really means for a $500,000-plus household, and why family caregiving is the invisible line item.
Traditional long-term care insurance, hybrid linked-benefit, and life insurance with a care rider, side by side on one real 50-year-old. What each costs, what each pays, and what comes back if you never need care.
Who this is for
Your presenter
"Half the value of planning is the conversation your family never has to have in a hospital hallway."
Matt has spent his career on the design side of life insurance and long-term care planning. Before founding Blackheath Partners, he partnered with high-net-worth and high-income families at Merrill Lynch to build estate planning and accumulation strategies, served as a Regional Vice President at MetLife, and led life insurance distribution for the Southeast at one of the country's largest mutual insurers.
That background matters for one reason: he has seen the carrier illustrations, the underwriting files, and the claims. He knows which features pay when a family actually needs them, and which ones only look good on a brochure.
Matt holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign. He lives in the Charlotte, North Carolina area with his wife, their three children, and a Labrador Hound named Johnny-Utah.
